Kilaeau Volcano at Night
So what does a volcano look like at night from a mile away... well check out the pictures below for an idea.
Yes that is right nothing but black since they now turn the volcanoes off at night to conserve energy. Yeah we know HA HA! but we did get a few pictures Kilaeau as we passed by but at this time Kilaeau was not very active and the view from the ship was just a glow in areas, but the next couple of pictures were the fastest exposure we could use on the camera to get the pictures (you do have to look closely) any slower and the group after is what we got.

So as you can see from the slower exposures there was something there and it was much easier to see in person than in the pictures.
